Simply Gift Aid is a web-based solution that allows charities especially Churches
and CASCs to manage donations for purposes of making a Gift Aid Claim. Key documents
associated with donors and donations are stored in the database in electronic format
and are linked to donors and their donations simplifying the audit trail. The following
are the key features of the system:
- Charities (especially churches) with more than one branch can register all their
branches in the system
- Manage users who can access and capture data for the charity and produce reports
- Charities can set up and track donations to different funds.
- Keep scanned copies of declarations for each donor registered with them eliminating
the need for the storage of the hard copies
- Keep records of donations made by each donor
- Each branch can view donation reports associated with their branch
- Send email to donors asking them to confirm if they are still tax payers for the
period about to be claimed for
- Donors can receive reports about their donations for the previous financial year
upon request
- All claims are archived in the system for future reference
- Charities will scan bank statements and cash donations registers into the system
to link them to donations.
- HMRC Audits will be made much easier as donors will be linked to donations and
donations will be associated with signed donation cash registers which in turn will
be linked to banking records which can be identified on bank statements.
- All changes made to a donor’s declaration, address, a specific donation or tax status
are logged and reports can be produced when required.
- Agents who may represent Charities may create profiles for themselves that would
allow them access to manage their client’s data.
